A little more about me…

Hi! I’m honored that you wanted to know more about me enough to click on this page. Just as a little introduction, my name is Soma Fukuta and I am a freelance videographer based in Dallas, Texas. I am currently studying animation at the University of Texas at Dallas.

With those out of the way, let’s get to some fun stuff.

I love making stuff. The act of creation has always fascinated me from a very young age, and it’s portrayed with all of the different things that I love doing. Most obviously creating videos, but I also love building randoms things like legos and gundams, and sets to use for video/photo.

Videography. I primarily specialize in the fast paced high intensity editing style videos, but I don’t restrict myself to that style. I love constantly exploring different styles of video, and I’m open to any opportunities!

Photography. Although I am more centered around videography, my initial interactions with the camera came mostly through photography. I have put 5 years of time into improving into that craft and is partially the reason why I started making videos as well : to show off the photos that I had taken. However, my love for taking photos began to die down and I started to pick up the camera less and less as time went by. Recently, I’ve picked up analog photography which is photography using film. With this process, I was able to fall in love with the act of taking photos once more. Each shot is intentional, and the restricted number of shots forces the photographer to slow down, and appreciate each shot. So with that said, you’ll most likely catch me with a film camera nowadays.

MUSE! I am a co-founder of this collective of creatives, and I am the in charge of the videography department. I work with many other talented individuals, and it would be an honor if you could check out the work that we are creating. The link to our website will be right under this.
